This application is divided into three sections:
Section 1: About you, and your organization, collective, or group
Section 2: About your proposal or request
Section 3: Information for Communications
Going into this process, we know that having to fill out a long form, especially when there are limited slots of funding, is work and labour. In an ideal world we would hope to support everyone’s proposal. We acknowledge that the process and decision of selection does not take away the value and power of any proposal.
Given that this form is lengthy and most sections are obligatory to fill out, we have given a suggested word count for answers that are longer. For other questions, we ask that you share a relevant amount of detail as per your own understanding and keeping the reviewers point of view in mind!
There is no estimated time to fill out this form, as we acknowledge each person may be different in their relationship to time, forms and applications. For folks who need more than one sitting to fill out, this form does have an option to save and come back later.
For anyone who may have a very unstable internet connection, you can email us on membersupport@makeinroads.org and we can send you a pdf/word/ google document version of this form.
You can fill this form out in English, Spanish, Portuguese or French. We understand that sometimes these may not be our native languages, and reviews will not be made based on grammatical or linguistic correctness. We ask that you share from your experiences, hearts and minds.
The information that you enter into Section 2: About your proposal or request will be shared with other applicants in our participatory review process. Please try to keep any identifying information out of this section.
About the You, and Your Organization, Collective, or Group
The first questions are about the applicant. When we say organization, we mean organization, group, collective, consortium, network, etc. This does not have to be a legally registered organization. Unless it is specified, information in these fields will not be shared with participatory reviewers.
