• If you are not an inroads member yet, but share a demonstrated commitment to dismantling abortion stigma, make sure you apply to join here before 13 October 2025, to be eligible.

• The initial review process done by inroads staff, a basic criteria check, will pay close attention to any language that stigmatizes anybody or any experience of abortion very closely. The use of stigmatizing language will take your application out of the selection pool. We also have suggested word counts, and this helps guide you to the level of detail we are expecting.
• Your application will then go into a secondary review, by inroads staff again, where we will rate applications based on:
• Past - The journeys and experiences that the applicant brings to the fellowship, especially journeys around intersectional areas of abortion stigma and communities most direct affected, and why they are inspired to bring these to a global cohort.
• Present- The applicant’s keenness on learning and unlearning focussed on feminist tools, pedagogies, and curricula design.
• Future - The applicant’s commitment to a cohesive, mutual learning process with the fellowship cohort and the shareable outcome potential of their fellowship project.

Going into this process, we know that having to select specific people, when what we need is a sea of questions, interventions, revolutions, is a hard process. In an ideal world we would hope to support everyone’s wisdom, practice and value their ideas. We wish to note that this process of selection does not take away the value and power of any proposal.
